About Us
For over two decades, Al has lived and breathed kitesurfing. His journey from a passionate rider to a senior IKO-certified instructor began in the legendary winds of Squamish, BC, and led him to prime kitesurfing spots across the globe. Now teaching kite surfing and living on Koh Samui since 2016, he has mastered the island's wind patterns, uncovering secret kite boarding best spots in Koh Samui for optimal surfing in any season..
This exceptional local knowledge is powered by a unique background as a commercial ship’s Master with formal meteorological academic studies, providing unparalleled weather insights to the community.
He has refined a training methodology that artfully blends the gold-standard IKO framework with innovative techniques. Seven Seas kite surf shop is based on the west of Koh Samui island, but as a mobile operation, we follow the ideal conditions across the island. We select the best kite surfing spot each day based on the wind direction and tide to ensure safe, shallow-water kite lessons for effective learning. Please contact us in advance to discuss your experience and goals; this allows us to recommend the perfect location for your skill level.
Our standard kite surfing lessons are conducted one-on-one and are two hours in duration. We also offer special arrangements for couples or small groups who wish to learn together. Please contact us to discuss customizing a lesson package for your needs.
All our students receive an internationally recognized certification from the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) upon completing their kite training at our kite school.
We offer a variety of affordable kite surf lesson plans tailored to every rider's objective, we recommend booking early before traveling to Thailand , especially for windy days, as we get very busy.
